BAGARO HOUSE
Renovation houses
The renovation project takes place in a building located within the Addizione Erculea, a 15th century urban plan of Ferrara. The building has got a complete overhaul, both in its internal spaces and in its structures, and in terms of energy. The composition of the main façade has been partially revisited in order to allow the creation of two new internal parking spaces, while maintaining the openings of the remaining floors unchanged. The basement finds its contemporary key in the use of resin, managing to maintain its architectural character and its consequent hierarchy. The new façade is the result of extensive cleaning with consequent revisitation of the architectural elements; the drainpipes are integrated into the façade, the gutter integrated into the upper frame, the window frames are entirely hidden like the blackout curtains.
Inside, two apartments have been designed, each on two floors with a shared access. A first apartment |A| is distributed between the ground floor and the first floor. A terrace at the back connects both visually and directly the living area to the garden. The second apartment |B| is distributed between the second floor and the attic. A balcony on the second floor visually connects the living area with the garden. A basement room with access to a harmonious private garden completes the spaces.
